Port de la Selva is just north of Llançà at the foot of
the Cabros Gros mountains. The village faces west up
towards France and the Pyrenees.
The main beach of Port de la Selva is a mixture of sand and
shingle and the sea is shallow in most parts.
The church is a centre point for the locals and in the summer
in the main square holds many activites for all ages.
The national park of Cap de Creus ends or starts here. The most
important monastery in the area Sant Pere de Rodes is nearby
and certainly worth a visit.
Sant Pere de Rodes is a benedictine monastery and was one of
the many religious institutions founded in this area after
the departure of the Moors.
